FUSIBLE horsehair interlining 80cm wide

Use fusible horsehair cloth interlining for a quick jacketfront. Also suitable for bags, collars, waistbands and other parts that need to be firm and resilient.
Fusible horsehair is a relatively new product, tradionally tailors use a sew on version of this fusible horsehair where it's attached by a technique called pad stitiching. Because this horsehair interlining has a coating, it saves time by just ironing it on...
 
Horsehair has more resilience than woven interlining from cotton, polyester etc. That's because of the use of actual hair wether it be horsehair, goathair, camelhair or other kinds.

Horsehair canvas fusible Interlining is not regular Vilene Interfacing

Horsehair is not by the manufacturer Freudenberg Vilene, they are specialized in interlining for consumers that can be ironed on with a household iron.
Horse hair cloth is a specific tailor's product and therefore not in the category Vilene but is an Interfacing or interlining

Composition of this fusible horsehair interlining

The horsehair is made of natural raw materials, 93%! Because it has only 7% polyester it is suitable for people who have an allergy for synthetic fibers

30% cotton - 35% rayon - 28% hair - 7% polyester
Because of the combination of cotton and rayon, the horsehair feels like it has body, but also flexibillity. The horsehair provides the real horsehair feel and with it resilience
