Horsehair has more resilience than woven interlining from cotton, polyester etc. That's because of the use of actual hair wether it be horsehair, goathair, camelhair or other kinds.

Horsehair is not by the manufacturer Freudenberg Vilene, they are specialized in interlining for consumers that can be ironed on with a household iron.
Horse hair cloth is a specific tailor's product and therefore not in the category Vilene but is an Interfacing or interlining

Processing & Care Instructions

Application (Fusing): As a professional tailoring product, careful application is key to a lasting bond:

1. Placement: Place the coated (adhesive) side onto the wrong side of the fabric

2. Pressing: Use a dry iron or a tailoring press (no steam). Press firmly in one spot for 10 to 15 seconds. Do not slide the iron; lift and move it to the next section to prevent shifting or bubbling

3. Heat Setting: Adjust temperature according to the face fabric (usually wool/cotton setting). Use a damp press cloth for delicate fabrics

4. Cooling Down: Crucial step. Allow the fused parts to lie flat for at least 20 to 30 minutes to let the adhesive set completely

Care Instructions:

• Dry Clean Only: To preserve the structure and resilience of the natural hair fibers, professional dry cleaning is highly recommended

• Do Not Wash: Traditional horsehair interfacing should not be machine washed, as water can damage the adhesive and alter the hair's texture

• Ironing: After cleaning, the garment can be pressed using the appropriate heat setting for the face fabric
