Which thread to use for jeans. This is called topstitch thread, it is thicker and sturdier than universal sewing thread. For example Seralon thickness 30 on bobbins of 30 metres. Enough for a pair of jeans. We recommend to use a topstitching needle for this thread, because of the special eye. The eye is larger than on a normal sewing machine needle and is specifically created for this purpose. Because of the shape of the eye the thread will run smoothly through the needle without splitting the thread.

Also in this category: Ornamental thread like polyglow and denim doc and shiny embroidery thread like polysheen and polysheen multicolor. The shiny thread is suitable for ornamental stitches, because of the shine it stands out more. For this thread you can use a standard sewing machine needle.
