Press your velvet and other voluminous fabrics on this mat. Also for ironing on interfacing, the soft velvety part of the fabric sinks into the mat. When you put your iron on the interlining you will only press on the backing of the velvet.

This velvet mat can withstand temperatures up to 180 degrees celsius...

How to use it:
  • put the mat on the ironing board with the smooth side at the bottom
  • put your farbic on with the velvety part on the bottom (that will sink into the mat)
  • put on the interfacing and iron
Would you like to press your garment:
  • put the mat on the ironing board with the smooth side at the bottom
  • put your farbic on with the velvety part on the bottom (that will sink into the mat)
  • put on the seam strip orf second mat on top and you can press your garment
That works best with a steam iron.
You can also fold the mat in half and put the garment in between. When pressing a collar that you have finished it will be velvety on both sides. That's why you use two mats (or one folded) or a mat and seam strip

Sinds ik deze fluweel maat in gebruik heb zie ik duidelijk het verschil. Voorheen zag je de naden aan de voorkant van het pand na het uitstrijken. Nu niet meer , een aanrader.

Ik heb een prachtig jasje van fluweel gemaakt en ontdekte het bestaan van deze mat .
Hij is in gebruik geweldig behulpzaam. De vleug gaat beslist niet pletten bij persen van naden.. Voor mij een wondermat!
