Microtex needles size 60/8. Suitable for the following fabrics: Coated material such as oilcloth or synthetic leather, brocade, chiffon, densly woven fabrics, foils, lining taffeta, lamé, microfiber, sequined fabrics, poplin, silk, taffeta.

Sewing machine needles by Schmetz are wellknown and of premium quality.
Use Microtex needles for sewing very fine or densly woven fabrics. The slim acute point allows for accurate stitching in very fine or densly woven materials. The needle can be used to topstitch edges, for example for creating particularly straight stitches on collars or button tape.
When quilting batik fabrics that are typically densly woven, the Microtex needle can achieve particularly precise seams. 
Acute points are more sensitive that rounded or ball points: You should therefore check the needle for damage more frequently and replace it in good time.

TIP: een naald kan 8 uur lang werken, daarna is hij aan vervanging toe.

Dat betekent niet dat je na 1 dag de naald al moet verwisselen. Zie het zo: als je het pedaal indrukt en dat 8 uur lang volhoudt, dus de naaimachine stopt niet dan is de naald bot.
Het makkelijkst is om voor een nieuw project een nieuwe naald te nemen.
