Shoulderpads, sleevehead filling and dress shields

How do you use shoulderpads, sleevehead fillings or dress shields?

Shoulderpads are used on the shoulder, mostly in jackets, blazers and blouses. Most shoulderpads have a straight side, these are meant for a normal sleeve. Does your garment have a raglan sleeve? Choose a raglan or round shoulderpad.

For jackets, blazers etc. the felt shoulderpads are best. Simple to sew in and they take the shape of the garment easily. If a felt shoulderpad is to large you can simply cut of a bit for a better fit.

The sleevehead filling is sewn in to the sleeve head of your jacket. It fills your sleevehead for a fuller result. The thin ones are for ladies and gents blazers / jackets made from thin supple fabric and the thicker sleevehead fillings are better suited for coats and gents jackets made from a heavier fabric.

Dress shields are made to protect clothing from sweatstains
