Today, sustainiable business practives are an essential part of the textile and fashion industry. Do you design your own clothing, create haute couture, or run a tailoring studio? Then you are likely already conscious of the impact of your materials. At Beautyvof.nl, we are committed to a greener future and a circular economy. Below, you can read exactly what we—and our suppliers—are doing to achieve this.

Our Green Operations: From Order to Shipping

Sustainability starts at home. We strive to keep our ecological footprint in the warehouse as small as possible:

• Digital Order Picking: We no longer print your order on paper; instead, we pick all items using a tablet. Our stock is stored in durable boxes and crates that we reuse continuously
• Green Packaging: Our wrapping paper is 100% natural and biodegradable (reinforced with natural wood fibers). We reuse incoming shipping boxes and padding materials, and our shipping labels are printed on FSC-certified paper
• Plastic-Free Where Possible: Many of our items do not have plastic packaging. Our zippers, tailor's pencils, vanishing pens, and water-erasable markers are delivered completely loose and packaging-free
• Conscious Return Labels: We do not include standard return labels in your package to save on ink and paper. Need a label? You can easily request one via email

Sustainable Delivery with GLS

Our carrier, GLS, works hard to reduce their CO₂ emissions by deploying electric vehicles and using cleaner fuels. For every order, we pay an environmental surcharge to ensure the delivery of your haberdashery is as green as possible.

Our Sustainable Products & Materials

We select our products carefully, allowing you to make conscious choices for sustainable fashion creation. In our webshop, you can easily recognize these products by the green sustainability leaf or the natural-colored leaf for natural raw materials.

Recycled Interfacing & Volume Fleece (Vlieseline)

Vlieseline offers excellent options made from (partially) recycled polyester (R-PES). An overview of the percentages:

• 100% R-PES: Vlieseline F220 (per meter) / H310 (per roll)
• 100% R-PES: Volume Fleece R80 and R200 (fully recycled polyester fibers)
• 80% R-PES: Vlieseline P120 / P140 / P250
• 65% R-PES: Vlieseline M12 / S13
• 35% R-PES: Vlieseline G405 / LE420
• 15% R-PES: Vlieseline H180

New and Purely Natural: The biodegradable interfacings B700 and B710 are made of pure cotton with a biodegradable adhesive coating. This product leaves no harmful residues in the earth.

Interlining Powered by Wind and Solar Energy

Our other interlinings are produced locally in the Netherlands. This supplier uses at least 50% Dutch wind energy and generates about 200,000 kWh of its own electricity annually through 600 solar panels. Furthermore, they partially use recycled cotton fibers and strictly adhere to all government guidelines for environmental and soil protection.

OEKO-TEX Certified Threads (AMANN Mettler)

Both our thread supplier AMANN Group Mettler and our interlining suppliers hold the strict OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certificate. AMANN is making major strides on their 'Road to Zero' emissions plan:

• They are phasing out the plastic film around thread spools
• New kits are packaged in FSC-certified material
• Their famous Seralon universal sewing thread is partially made from recycled polyester
