TIP: a needle can work 8 hours long, after that it needs replacing.

That doesn't mean you have to change your needle every day. Look at it this way: if you push down the foot pedal and keep it pressed down for 8 hours straight, than the needle is done. The easiest way to remember to change your needle: take a new one everytime you start a new project.
